Welcome to our School

This website is designed to give you a glimpse into the life of our school and share something of the wide, varied and exciting opportunities that are available to our pupils, their families and staff.

The community of St Vincent De Paul is a very special one where we aim to follow the example of Jesus Christ, in welcoming, recognising, fostering and developing each individual, as a unique and special gift from God. Our mission statement is a living belief that “We are called to be the hands and face of Jesus as we learn, love and grow together”

We strive for excellence in learning, in terms of both achievement and progress. St Vincent De Paul School provides a broad balanced and challenging curriculum to enable each pupil to develop all the attributes for lifelong learning of initiative, confidence, dedication, integrity, resilience, creativity and an understanding of their spirituality.

Dear Parents and staff,

I am writing to update you on the current situation regarding the sad loss of dear Elizabeth Ransom from our Year 6 class.

Elizabeth was an incredible pupil. She lit up every room she entered and had a truly magical smile. She represented the school in a number of sports and was an ever constant member of the football team. Elizabeth was one of two children who were responsible for the preparation and running of assemblies. Children will remember her for helping in the awarding of certificates and birthday pencils. Elizabeth also generously helped at every Lenten Reflection and every rosary prayer gathering.

Elizabeth's funeral service will take place at 11:15 am, on Wednesday 7th September, at St Hilda's Church. This will be followed by a service at Harwood Park Crematorium at 12:30 pm.

SCHOOL CLOSURE Wednesday 7th September (Nursery will be open)

Elizabeth will have had no other school memories than those she enjoyed at St Vincent de Paul and the staff and members of our school community have very fond memories of her. A very large number will want to be present at Elizabeth's funeral to pay their respects. In the circumstances we will therefore be closing the school on that day.

I'm sure you'll understand that the school will do everything to support the Ransom family during these exceptionally sad times
